Thread: 9.10 - suspend breaks touchpad

just installed karmic, once resume suspend, touch pad 'frozen' ie not respond input.

problem still present in gusty, however, not sure of steps need take in order provide evidence.

appreciated.

check if notebook has i8042 controller:

ls /sys/devices/platform/ | grep i8042

if returns i8042 have it. in case need unbind controller on suspend/hibernate , bind on resume/thaw. bug fixed in jaunty - @ least me appears live , kicking in karmic again.
