my raspberry pi goes offline when hard-drive connected , not sure why? should checking or anyt suggestions? alternatively, there current 'better' ways connect external usb powered hard-drive pi?
setup: external 2.5" usb hard-drive, connected via powered 2.0 usb hub.
when first set the pi able boot , able ssh , mount drive. when left home , tried ssh pi realised had gone down. trying reboot it, once got home, didn't yield success, until disconnected drive.
few additional observations: status light on hub green when powered mains , goes cyan when plugged pi, drive plugged in. light blue if plug same configuration laptop.
