my router enable port forwarding to web server with joomla (RESOLVED) - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi all,

i'm trying give friend remote access our joomla project, when accesses it, there alot of content missing!! screen plain... i.e can see html , not images or icons etc.

is there settings need configure on router???

or recommend enable remote administration of our joomla site??

you have site config setup point @ internal nat ip address / hostname.  friend can point browser @ ip address give him when joomla replies site links formed around local address - friend pc not know how find. 

fix. 
1.  static ip address , configure joomla instead of local address.
2.  if have dynamic ip address use static host name - have @ http://www.dyndns.org.  if lucky router can configured automatically update static host name new ip address each time changes...
