Which driver do I use?

hi,

i'm looking led driver project.  need power ir leds (48 currently, around 300 eventually) , pulse them @ 38khz.  i'm sure there's driver after talking representative @ maxim , searching , other forums, i'm still not sure use.  advice appreciated.

which leds? maybe need make strings of leds, connect strings in parallel, , sink current n-channel mosfet, aoi514 @ digikey.com

what have voltage source? 12? 15? 24? higher is, more leds can have in series , less current need.

what doing need pulsed @ 38 khz?
