hey, want transfer huge number of files 1 computer another. both computers in home network.
1. wondering if use single ethernet cord connect 1 computer directly other, , realized didn't work.
2. second idea have both computers connected router, , use ftp or sftp. i've used ftp , sftp before, i've never gotten computer allow incoming sftp connections before (which why failed).
can have either idea working?
for option 2:
both runing linux? if try, "sudo aptitude install openssh-server" on 1 or both , use either use placed->connect server... ssh -or- rsync -or- scp
