Thread: Menu bar items missing in Emacs after upgrade to Karmic Koala

after upgrading karmic koala, several things missing menu bar in gnu emacs:

- under "buffers", "scratch" , "messages" appear, if many other buffers open.
- when i'm in special mode, corresponding menus empty. example, in auctex, "preview", "latex", , "command" menus appear, empty.

ideas?

the menus ok in emacs-snapshot; install that.
