how create simple html page , make appear before joomla home page shows up?
a typical splash screen type of thing large 'front cover' graphic , 'enter site' link below leads joomla front page.
i thought using index.html file , leaving index.php there because on many servers html has 'priority' on php extension, doesnt work on host , doubt they'd change me.

it unusual html not have priority, cant imagine why host not configure site? should ask them. if not 1 way install joomla in separate directory , have yoursite.com/index.html link yoursite.com/joomla/ not elegant work. can done .htaccess file , there post here how to. http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,153544.0.html
