9.10 has me playing detective again...athlon 64
here deal- have new drive #1 9.10 , bootloader grub2 - works fine.
have second drive #2 windows vista, boots fine off grub bootloader in 9.10 #1
have third, #3, 9.10 install (an upgrade install) used grub (old gub) bootloader on it.
new 9.10 grub2 bootloader #1, cannot have fire other ubuntu drive. boots vista fine.
when connected itself, old ubuntu grub boots fine.
#1 , #2 sata, #3 pata (ide) jumpered master
have run update-grub on new drive, , few errors.

are sure of drive order. many motherboards seem boot pata before sata.

cd directory saved to:
chmod 755 boot_info_script032.sh
sudo ./boot_info_script032.sh
or example if on desktop
sudo bash ~/desktop/boot_info_script*.sh
create results.txt file in same directory. paste entire contents of file here. once pasted highlight text , click # sign on toolbar place code tags around text.
