Thread: i have bad sectors and my filesystem is turning to read-only

first, sorry english

have ubuntu 9.10 , have 160 bad sectors in 160gb hdd.

everyday ubuntu says filesystem has turned read-only can't write anaything or save files. can't turn off computer i'm restarting , more bad-sectors coming.

need serious becouse hdd dying everyday.

on file system errors ubuntu mounts file system read-only prevent more damage or data loss.

make backup of disk , new one.
