first off, please forgive ignorance, started reading arduino think can simplify life type of work do.
i general consultant. lot of 'out of box' projects not take on. recent project physical sound board educational learning center wouls play animal sounds depending on button pushed. lots of fun kids. accomplish project went pc drive intelligence , mame controls buttons.
after lot of reading coming conclusion possibly , utilizing arduino. have bit of coding background although have never used arduino. have played pi's , sketch , fun stuff too.
what looking piece of intellegence can have flexibility used different projects without overhead of pc.
my next project going simple sound board 6 button on it. there name tag next each button have name of animal question. once button pressed illuminate led on board x seconds, , play wave file followed wave file b, , led de-illuminate.
i have attached basic overview of function. idea interactive display young kids education center.
i know if arduino can handle, , if so, can references articles should read on familiarize myself programming of arduino electrical engineering side of machine itself.
i did play scratchx beta program bit , can see logic seems present in application, hate make purchases based on assumptions.
if works may replace existing pc setup on other sound board arduino too.
