VersionCueCS3.cpl crash in Vista search

when start typing word starting "v" in vista start menu search bar, explorer crashed following error:

it seems connected version cue control panel component if open in cp starts ok.

can me this?
the cue version cs3 3.1.0. have cs3 suite date.

a friend of mine ran exact issue couple years ago, , think had install update version cue server.

 

in cs3, version cue has 2 components:

1. server
2. client

 

there "asset services" somehow used version cue, , bridge uses version cue files.

 

try manually install of following updates, restart computer, , see happens:

1. asset services 3.1.0
   http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpid=3642
2. version cue server 3.1.0
   http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpid=3640
3. version cue client 3.1.0
   http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpid=3638

   http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpid=3619

 

also, if vista isn't updated, should that.

 

if doesn't work, try uninstalling version cue server. start uninstaller cs3, , it's 1 of parts can remove.
