How to keep imported graphic intact?

i have question concerning imported graphic.

supposed there imported graphic in 1 of fm files. held anchored frame. problem occurs when need replace imported graphic graphic. if anchored frame cannot hold graphic, parts hidden. know 1 of ways adjust width , height of anchored frame. however, not want that. need nothing anchored frame @ same time keep graphic impact. found got distorted when scale it. there workaround?

assumption: i'm assuming have leave frame untouched layout reasons

first option: select corner of new graphic, hold down shift , drag resize without changing proportions

second, , better, option: edit new graphic in graphics-editing application size want best available quality, import
