Font problem after migrating to new web hosting server - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi,

i have migrated indic joomla website new web hosting server using forum topic

for migrating database, had done export first , executed import on new sql server.

after doing this, data appear ???? on website entered in hindi font.

how make sql server load data in hindi?

has faced similar problem or guide me in migrating indic joomla website.

hi sanjay,

it appears utf-8 encoding of database not preserved..
this have happened due many causes..

first check if collation of previous db utf8_general_ci or not..

second, make sure don't edit .sql file after on computer after export..

third, select character set of .sql file utf-8, while importing database..
