hey guys, tried install 9.10 (clean install) after 8.04 started bit heavy, have encountered problems.
first install appeared run fine (i in , out of room no error messages appeared show), when started computer, happened said grub loading , nothing happened.
then, tried reinstall , tinkered bit, lead grub-rescue appearing - reinstalled again, using default settings again (using option use whole drive install in partitioner), , @ 94% error message popped saying "unable update-grub, fatal error" (or similar).
installer quit , went straight live cd (with little exclamation saying "ubiquity had crashed" title "
ubiquity crashed installsteperror in configure_bootloader()"
please
edit* loose sata power cable causing issues! took 3 seconds fix once sorted - not related install @ (which worked fine once sorted)
