Update main SD card while running off USB - Raspberry Pi Forums

i've had idea don't know if realisticlly possible.

trying setup bunch of pi lesson or jam or coding club have same setup takes bit of effort

requires taking sd cards out , re-imaging them.


how system - possibility

have master pi setup how want

run script on rsyncs usb drive plugged , starts sort of beacon broadcast "here am"

pi running normally.

launch script makes run usb stick (but uses same network settings running on pi)

finds master pi on network
rsyncs sd card master files

reboot normal running off sd card

experts think? doable??
