Thread: 3D for HD2600...

i'm using radeon open source driver @ moment on karmic because fglrx driver gives me kernel panic (grr).

understand it, cannot run 3d on driver... compiz won't enable, google earth runs slowly... etc etc

why 350 fps on glxgears? not 3d?

i've heard talks "experimental" 3d support r6xx/r7xx cards... how install this? should i?

yeah, it's 3d... accelerated in software (by cpu) , not gpu.

2. recent kernel: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.32/
3. add xorg-edgers ppa: https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa

the worst can set computer on fire.. think of can gain - wobbly windows , gamez! of course should.
