Receiving serial communication data and emulating key press - Raspberry Pi Forums

hi, having serious problem ir receiver connected rpi using both openelec , raspbian while works on arduino basic ir libraries.
came idea establish connection between rpi , arduino sent key presses rpi make me able communicate without issues.
of may ask why posting topic here? that's because can halfly achieve want.

know how to:

• connect , make arduino program send data in ascii form
  write programs in c on rpi using gpio pins , use rpi gpio serial communication (tx/rx)

need learn how to:

• emulate key press on unix based system such raspbian, openelec
