Moving Location of Joomla Installation - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

recently, developed joomla portal in subdirectory of main site.  planning roll out new joomla based site , wanted know whether easy move dev site main site.  or have install joomla on main site , migrate it?

so, essentially, have joomla installed at

http://www.mydomain.com/dev/

and want move

http://www.mydomain.com/

i unable locate similar in faqs.  pointers gratefully recevied.

welcome forum. move files root, , change logical/absolute path values in configuration.php (remove /dev)
