Thread: Can't connect to hybserv

this rather annoying. set hyberserv on server; went through config files etc.

then, set xchat connect, , output:
connected... logging in...

hyberserv (...version info...)
username:
password:
invalid password!
disconnected.

ok. go hybserv.conf file; appropriate users line:
o:matthew@dormix:mpa6j5vlmfhje:aminet:segj
mpa... password sent through mkpasswd

comparing xchat connection settings:
nickname:aminet
username:matthew@dormix
realname:*empty*
nickservpass:*empty*
serverpasswhat mpa... if sent thru mkpasswd)

doing wrong? have line set allow max of 5 users anyone.
