How to send 1 byte form arduino (1) to arduino (2)

hello

i want 1 project i2c.
arduino (2) read adc. when arduino (1) send arduino (2) char, arduino(2) send arduino (1) 1 byte.

the i2c bus doesn't work that.
there master , 1 or more slave(s). master controls bus. master can send data slave or request data slave.

perhaps can make arduino (2) adc master. reads adc value, , sends slave. slave arduino (1).
