Thread: Xfce - where is the sound manager

i using xfce mythbuntu. sound manager? have no sound while running mythbuntu, can not find menu item / icon examine sound settings.

other harddrive has ubuntu 9.04 , sound fine.

edit: i forgot something: yes, checked "setting manager" , other possible menu items. there no icon / item related sound. perhaps need install plugin?

do see "mixer" in "multimedia" menu? if not, install xfce4-mixer.
