CS 2 - can't uninstall (missing or invalid Personalization Info)

i cannot uninstall creative suite 2 on windows xp ... control panel / add remove programs, message:

"the installer not start because of following reasons:
- missing or invalid personalization information
- missing resources library"

putting in original cd , trying uninstall gave same message. have had number of different adobe products on computer. have uninstalled/updated of them in last few years.

has seen ... , there way (un)installer work? [i had used product evaluation license)

the evaluation license has expired. may not able
re-install on same computer. ok, since no
longer evaluating product.
