Thread: Upgraded to Ubuntu 9.10 and can't play DVDs

asus eee1000 external dvd , ubuntu 9.10

updated ubuntu 8.10 9.10 , can no longer play dvds.

installed libdvd read files error when try play dvd.

playback failure:
vlc cannot set dvd's title. possibly cannot decrypt entire disc.
input can't opened:
vlc unable open mrl 'dvd:///dev/sr0'. check log details.
