the lots of free resources online codes...remotecentral & lirc spring mind.
the challenge harvesting quality of final db. example if irremote used timings +/- 50 usecs, before innacurcies introduced ir receivers etc.
of course use universal remote (ebay??) each region, not sure of rights issues, if copying these.
