Email when new content needs published - define the email - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i'm sure should possible either through j1.0 self or 1 of components? can't find mentioned anywhere - perhaps i'm searching wrongly...

i want send email 1 of site admins when content in section maintains uploaded.

but @ moment best cna rather lacking 'a new private message' email when i'd rather emailed private message (or better pm plus intro text).  if can't filter mail him based on category uplaod in, @ least can skim without having login backend...
