Can't display the Structure View window

a post jerry casher 12/17/07, typical of problem:

i'm working framemaker 7.0 windows xp , reason can no longer display structure view document open. buttons @ upper right of screen work fine, except "display structure view" button. i've tried shortcut (esc+f v), doesn't work either. i've minimized active window see if structure view window underneath it, not there.

from thomas michanek;

the window "displayed" off screen, due change in screen resolution.

three solutions:

1. when click "display structure view" button, press alt+spacebar followed "m", , hit left or arrow keys (don't move mouse) until windows starts appearing.
this move active window using keyboard arrow keys. if wrong window moved, press esc , try using ctrl+tab or alt+tab make fm select (invisible) structure view window. (i don't have fm running don't know if work)

2. close fm , open maker.ini file in fm installation folder. scroll down "[structureview]" , change line "position=..." reasonable numbers, e.g. "position=0, 0, 376, 272" (the order x, y, width, height in pixels, think)
then restart fm , try again.

3. temporarily increase screen resolution maximum, open structure view window, move better place, , change screen resolution back.
