Thread: Koala - revert login screen

i upgraded koala , unhappy new login screen situation. have googled around bit have been unable find information require. fail see how saving few seconds on boot time worth removing features consider essential. one? ubuntu seems more concerned e-peen status boot time concerned users ability customize own systems. behavior or mindset typically displayed m$ , i'm sitting contradicts whole ethos behind ubuntu. wtf moment of month?! /rant

not want usernames displayed full stop!
there way @ set login screen prompt both username , password have entered?
(edit via gconf-editor through /apps/gdm/simple-greeter/disable_user_list true not work.)

if not possible there anyway remove new login screen , revert or reinstall previous login setup customization settings restored?
