Thread: Another Karmic sound thread!!

hi,

upgraded jaunty using update manager , lost sound. have tried searching forums, launchpad , google answers. have tried suggested still no sound. have correct grub installed, have updated system.

until rebooted sound lost again. there no sound card picked in sound preferences. onboard sound card sigma tel sta9250.
