Thread: After upgrade to 9.10: full disk encryption stops working, boot impossible

yesterday upgraded jaunty system koala. upgrade seemed work, until tried reboot. grub stopped error, telling me not mount selected partition. system configured use full disk encryption (as using alternate installer cd). have mention, during upgrade, asked if wanted update menu.lst, agreed. found out update produced wrong "root=" parameter (originally sda6_crypt, update changed sda8_crypt). after changing still grub error. grub not ask decryption passphrase, used to.
still able mount root partition karmic koala alternate installer cd in rescue mode.

think quite serious problem. upgrading system end not being able boot anymore...

hope can give me advice this...
