Thread: upgrading from 5.10

ok i'm having 1 of murphy's law days. if can break has already. i'm putting dell optiplex. thing working right besides hp mini running 9.10 anyway had several failed attempts install 9.10 less on dell optiplex. 2 copies of 9.10 , still no luck. resorted finding old shipit copy of 5.10 , installing dell i'm running now. know waaaaaaay out of date there way update atleast 9.04? update mananger has told me no longer supported. ( know , understand) whats ubuntu user myself do?? burner died , dell bios doesn't support usb stick booting

should allow upgrade 6.04 lts. if works, can go 8.04 lts in 1 more step.

getting 9.04 require going through 8.10 first point - , don't know if 4 distribution upgrades in row not asking trouble.
