hi i'm in australia , had initial problems ubuntu 9.10 when upgraded.
@ first firefox not display correct web pages, opposed ubuntu 9.04 works straight out of box.
had install java runtime environment, java plug-ins through firefox, flash player , manually configure dns servers provided isp.
working good, letting out there know.
