this convoluted situation - knows forum should on? 1.8 ghz power pc g5.
a few weeks ago original hard drive fried. had new 1 installed , of files original restored. mac running 10.3 panther software own. os on new drive shop 10.4.11.
of course needed reinstall software. own original adobe cs, or cs1 guess. installed it, along suitcase, epson printer , scanner, few others.
photoshop cs launched fine. illustrator , id start load , crash. suitcase load few minutes , crash. gave me kern protection failure error. reading few forums this, found suggested creating user account, loading software , seeing if worked. did. , work - of it.
i guess go merrily on way user account , not worry it. concerns me somewhere lurking on (new!) drive sort of problem. since files backed on external drive or discs , own software reinstall thought erase whole drive , start over.
when tried original 10.3 disks didn't erase option - says can't install on particular mac because older version of software can't located. i'm assuming because shop installed 10.4.11? thought, okay, going buy leopard anyway. i'll , erase drive , install that. in meantime, have upgrade cs3 on order.
now i'm concerned if load leopard, original cs software load on can upgrade cs3?
or should keep using other user while, upgrade cs software cs 3 , load leopard?

cs1 has problems not fixed adobe. there no support software pre cs3 leopard. if cs upgrade install need enter previous version number upgraded from.
