can't get HDMI running - Raspberry Pi Forums

hi

have bought pi3 in starter-kit including 3,2" display.
when gui opens, way big use.
when connect via hdmi tv , boot pi .. on tv appears part of loading-sequence.. noise(? dont know how call looks needs adjusted.. thee green lines everywhere) .. , in middle of process display goes on loading sequence , finaly gui loads on display..

tried start display unplugged, hdmi connected.. same result.

tried ti change /boot/config.txt .. but.. how save file???
:wq know doesnt work..
have german keyboard disgusting :/

..i tried
vi /boot/config.txt
..then inside file
i
..then make changes.. press esc
..then type
:wq
...doesnt work..
--when type
:q!
.. quits vi

how guys it?
schould know running on tv?

you have modify config on boot partition on machine. having portable or installed version of linux comes in handy.

raspberrypi
