Thread: Ubuntu Netbook remix as a first computer

hello all.

i'm looking @ setting in-laws computer, they're both in there 60's , less computer savy(to put nicely). honest, neither of them can
touch 1 without getting flustered. both of them realize it's need in life , helpful in lives.

i've tried teach them how use basic windows/linux/mac desktops , ends confusing them. after looking around thought of idea of using ubuntu netbook remix. should need , simple them operate (i'll tech support of course, don't need worry upgrades or like.)

i'm planning on setting them older laptop have lying around (2.2 dual core, 1gb ram, 160gb hd, intel integrated graphics). , leaving hooked time in living room.

suggestions on if work? or suggestions on making easier them? or should know before start tinkering netbook remix?

na, give go. netbook remix nice use, sort of out on desktop.
put apps tend use in favourites bit, , wont need scroll through menu!

plus, karmic remix has given me no problems @ all, flawless.
