has there been progress on bug 2006? tested laptop in 9.04 , bug still killing notebook hard drive, until applied work around. have lost script have used correct problem, , ubuntu wipes out fix everytime upgrade it. so, hoping time maybe wouldn't have write bash script fix problem.
hoping problem has been fixed. realize problem exists in debian , other distributions , officially fault of hard drive bios programmers, windows has fixed/prevented problem, hope ubuntu has too.
has confirmed bug or fix bug in 9.10? launch pad says fix released hardy, intrepid, , jaunty, had apply bash script hand in 3 versions work around problem.
