Thread: Can I honestly get some help?


honestly... have scoured. have searched. have looked elsewhere. i'm ******* christopher columbus of linux users of 9.10 right now. just... want... someone... directly lol.

may have heard before. may have helped before. if have, me, too. i'd appreciate if me, because getting bit out of hand.

now... point: cannot graphics on ubuntu 9.10 go above 1024x768. have dell dimension 2400 intel 82845g graphics card. nothing fancy, obviously. i'm not concerned compiz... want resolution back. 9.04 fine @ 1280x1024 (the highest can go, due crappy monitor , limiting graphics card) now, of sudden, no longer finds ability go high.

did clean install -- ext4 filesystem, etc, etc -- if that's worth noting.

if can give me straightforward answer on how go ahead , this, , guide me (i'm not handicapped... blinded frustration @ point, kinda) damn appreciated lol.

please, guys, thought linux community help. never had issues when in need before... don't see why things change now.

hell... if had money, i'd pay fix this. want learn firsthand though, need more know-how have @ point me.

i dont think there need such plea, people helped when asking question

anyway, lets start getting info. monitor have?
can post contents of /etc/x11/xorg.conf?

did try using xrandr or grandr or not? open terminal , type
code:
xrandr
and post output here.
