Mega won't accept code

hello,
i have used mega drive tm1803 led strip, , after doing so, no code upload. error stk500v2_receivemessage(): timeout. strange, thought myself, , proceeded reburn bootloader out of curiosity uno (as had thought may have been corrupted). after burning it, works fine...for 1 sketch. after that, can't upload else until reburn bootloader. auto-reset works, have confirmed this. have tried loopback test after code wouldn't upload, , passed fine. using ver. 1.6.1 of ide. have ideas why may be?

that strange.  have tried manual reset?  hold down reset button until see rx led blink.
