Thread: Suggest new forum

i'd suggest new forum ubuntuforums.org, devoted third-party web sites' support (or lack thereof) of people using ubuntu.

time , time again, when have problem web site, support blames on fact i'm using ubuntu. correct, stupid coupon-printer software that's designed windows won't run under wine. often, it's lame excuse (it doesn't work; checked box os don't "support"; must os's fault). other times, there's workaround, , people here more know it.

like time got snail-mail equivalent of spam included cd designed windows. sent them email saying cd wouldn't work because use ubuntu, not windows. followed sequence of emails advice tech support people gave assumed windows, responded along lines of "no, won't work, don't use windows, use ubuntu." d'oh! (i didn't let on dual-boot windows)

Ubuntu
