Preserving Cross References in FM8

hello,

i using unstructured framemaker 8 , have imported rtf files framemaker 8, applied template against each chapter, , have corrected in chapter except figure , table cross references.

my issue when double click on legacy cross reference, cross-reference window pops up, markers appear this:

_ref49307505

instead of this:

figure 1. abc computer
figure 2. def computer

i have found these markers remain, after have selected paragraphs source type drop down menu, selected figure title style, chosen appropriate figure title , selected replace button.

is there way remove these _ref49307505 codes end list of figure , table cross references?

please note, have gone , chosen "save pdf", , these links work okay - see looking @ in cross-reference window, , not _ref.. code.

can describe how you're importing rtf files -- there several ways content word fm, , 1 method produces different results method.

also, sure specify point version of fm you're using (from > about, "pxxx" numbers) in each posting, helps you.
