Thread: System Monitor not working after 9.10 upgrade

hi,

upgraded release 9.10 , system monitor not work. when invoke administration icon, nothing happens. first time invoked it, there error message (which did not record). tried re-invoke it. no longer error message - spins few seconds nothing. tried re-install gnome system monitor package no effect. have not noticed else not working.

environment:
- ubuntu r9.10 installed via upgrade feature.
- running guest in virtual box windows host
- problem started upgrade r9.10
- have kubuntu 9.10 running in virtual box system monitor working clean install

suggestions on how working appreciated.
