Qt5 and eglfs - Raspberry Pi Forums

hi!
i've used qt5+eglfs (without x) on rpi since first model, compiling buildroot environments.
i'm facing error:

could not open display

when launching qt5 gui application on rpi3 , qt5.6.
selected rpi-userland package (which should provide egl implementation) , compiled qt5 eglfs plugin. in fact tells me eglfs valid platform , have /usr/lib/libegl* libraries.

there different in rpi3 egl?

so qt5.6 new build or rpi3 new ?
buildroot work on rpi2 ?
assume have tried "-platform eglfs"

while debugging similar problems standard qt in raspbian used "strace" lot see files program looking , kind of errors got on lower level, maybe can add tool buildroot.
