How to launch sketch in linux terminal - is it possible?

hi. i'm new owner of arduino leonardo. wrote sketch in arduino playground simple temperature monitor. when run serial monitor see temperature result sensors can't find solution how save or have write program run in linux terminal or double clicking on .bin application gui interface. possible? or have use sketch , serial monitor use arduino programs?
