Hostname Issues - Raspberry Pi Forums

i have changed rpi's hostname default name wheezy has given several names hoping resolve issue....alas i've run problem ntp server.

pi boots, when attempts start ntp server following:

[....] starting ntp server:ntpdreceived broadcast message 'simulinkstuff'
received broadcast message 'simulinkstuff'
received broadcast message 'simulinkstuff'
received broadcast message 'simulinkstuff'
...
...
endlessly!

( note hostname @ time of post was: simulinkstuff
frustrating. though gets past , can log in. however, message continually pops when entering commands. can hit ctrl + alt + f2 , continue normally, resolve issue.
absolutely appreciated!

i tried reimage microsd card, no avail, has led me believe isn't hostname problem. problem must related switching desktop mode console mode. however, having problem understanding why issue.....
