Thread: update notification: possible to switch behaviour back to 9.04?

hi,

have here kubuntu karmic installed , satisfied. issue have behaviour of update notifier.

update notifier in kubuntu jaunty has done job follows: when switch on setting "just notify available updates" in kpackagekit, notifier has put small "gear" in systray of desktop panel. if wanted update, click on it, kpackagekit opened, installing, finished...

notifier comes system message, in way copying files , on.
so, when have settings kde notification messages should hidden after short time, update notification away , won't come back...

how switch behaviour old behaviour in jaunty? current workaround: have set message settings "not hide" means messages stay open until close them. not way want it. because want have small icon updates...

btw: ayatana bloat... *errr* messages disabled

i'd well. have no idea going on kpackagekit. @ moment running adept , checking updates every few days.

thing that's annoying me 9.10.
