some software looking @ needs me have php (4-> 2.02, 5-> 2.03) installed. looked see if download php , site said dident offer linux version because linux distros come php on them. latest ubuntu have php built in? if version?

php doesn't install default.
use synaptic package manager. has search feature.
if package @ popular, it's in synaptic , install mouse click or three.
