Thread: 9.10 Windows XP Dual Boot of death

hi all,

know there lots of posts grub2 issues, non covering issue before yell @ me

running 9.04 via wubi along side windows xp pro install on hp notebook, wanted upgrade change proper partitioning, backed needed ubuntu (and windows safe!) uninstalled wubi, put 9.10 live cd on bootable usb , installed it, went swimmingly.

every time reboot windows xp, can never boot again after that! grub loading, no disk found message , command works 'ls' lists nothing blank line. returns unknown command error.

if boot live cd on usb , reinstall grub2, mounting original / /mnt, mounting dev, chroot, etc... grub menu , can book ubuntu many times like, go windows xp grub2 broken.

'presume' windows doing, i've no idea.... appreciated, demo's customers require me boot in/out of windows , don't want having boot usb linux.
