Thread: Help me with acpid in 9.10

i had assign events brightness keys in 9.04 in /etc/acpi/events based on scripts had created. updated 9.10 don't work anymore.

used enter them work restarting acpid -> /etc/init.d/acpid restart

when try restart acpid this:

rather invoking init scripts through /etc/init.d, use service(8)  utility, e.g. service acpid restart    since script attempting invoke has been converted  upstart job, may use restart(8) utility, e.g. restart acpid  acpid start/running, process 2638

no big deal, when restart acpid previous scrips no longer function.

ideas?
