how link 2 or more pi's gain more gpio pins? want have main pi controls being activated (ex. rotating motor), have pi send message pi use gpio pins rotate it, without making same pins on other connected pi's activate too.

learned mcp23017 | mcp23s17 chip(s) tonight; first uses i2c bus access chip provides
16 additional io pins... mcp23s17 uses spi bus accomplish same thing.

apparently can cascade mcp23x17 chips gain 128 additional io pins on same pi.
