when open raw photo in acr although have "apply sharpening images" option selected pictures not sharpened when camera sharpens them. , seems imposible acr open raw embeded .jpg ...they overexposed 1 stop , colors of. if use nikon capture nx raw files same embeded .jpg , sharpened in camera. know cant same looking picture in acr in nx acr way off , doesnt use camera sharpening @ all.
the preference option refer (i.e., "apply sharpening images") means sharpening -- if -- applied image when open image in ps or save rendered file (i.e., tiff or jpeg) disk. alternative (preview images only) means can preview sharpening within cr, sharpening won't applied rendered file when save out or open ps.
this separate actual controls govern how sharpening gets applied image. that, visit detail tab. default amount 25. if low taste, bump up. you'll want tweak other sliders (radius, detail, masking) best results.
