when open jpg camera raw , view in photoshop i'm noticing photoshop version, viewed @ 100%, darker, viewed side-by-side, preview in camera raw, @ 100%. both in same color space (srgb).
interestingly, when changed color settings in photoshop adobe rgb , reprocessed photo in camera raw adobe rgb file , opened in photoshop, side-by-side comparison shows photoshop version lighter, not darker, version shown in preview window in camera raw. both @ 100%.
any thoughts on subject appreciated. thank you. tom

both camera raw , photoshop using display profile make image preview. if 2 don't match (everything matches on displays) suspect display profile less optimal.
